First Edition, First Printing, so stated. Bound in the first issue dust jacket with burgundy boards and endpapers. Four-edges of the pages are untrimmed. Book absolutely square and tight, with sharp edges and perfectly stamped gold lettering. Dust jacket is first state with original $5.95 price on the inside flap, and the required I/66 on the bottom of the front flap. Several chips and tears along the base, top, and bottom of spine and one 2 1/2" closed tear along the fold where front cover meets front flap. Color faded only slightly by age and light. Even with a less than fine dust jacket, it is extraordinary to find this classic in such remarkably good condition.

Truman Capote OTHER VOICES, OTHER ROOMS
New York Random House 1948 First edition Hard cover Very Good Good/Very Good
First Edition/First Printing, so stated, on the copyright page. Truman Capote's first novel, of which only 10,000 copies were printed. VERY GOOD in publisher's beige boards with red and black lettering to spine. Original owner's name, "D Krause, 1948" in ink on front endpaper, else pages are unmarked and undamaged. Interior of book is yellowed with age, but the spine is tight, the pages clean, with only a slight lean to the spine. Book boards show the faintest of shelf wear on the bottom edges and little, if any, along the top. The bottom right corner of the front board has a mild 1/16" bump. Dust jacket is the original slate grey, with the photograph of Capote on the back cover, with the endorsement by Marguerite Young. Slight 1/16" - 3/8" chipping at top of bottom of spine and both bottom corners; else the dust jacket is in very good condition. NOT price clipped, with original $2.75 price.
